Now that we’ve spent enough time last week soaking in the 2013 memories and photos from down on the farm at Bonnaroo, it’s time to talk about another farm. The lineup for this year’s Farm Aid is here, featuring Jack Johnson, Amos Lee, Kacey Musgraves and more.
The event that has raised more than $43 million since 1985 to “support programs that help farmers thrive, expand the reach of the Good Food Movement, take action to change the dominant system of industrial agriculture and promote food from family farms” is set for Sept. 21 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
Additional 2013 acts who are helping the cause by contributing their performances include Toad The Wet Sprocket, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real, Bahamas, JD & The Straight Shot, Carlene Carter and Pegi Young & The Survivors.
Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews will also take the stage. Matthews will be joined by Tim Reynolds on guitar.
